What Vultboard is

The name

Vult is Latin for “wants”, from velle, to want or to will. It's the root of words like volition: choosing for yourself. That's the idea behind Vultboard: every open job at AI and web3 companies, straight from the source, so you can go after the one you want, without recruiters or reposts in between.

Why it exists

Most job boards rely on companies posting by hand, or on reposts from agencies and other boards. Roles stay up long after they're filled, show up several times and carry the date they were reposted, not posted. We wanted one place where every listing is open, appears once and shows when the company actually posted it.

Where listings come from

We aggregate from companies' own applicant tracking systems: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio, Teamtailor, Workday, Gem, Polymer, Breezy, Rippling and BambooHR. These are the public job boards behind most careers pages. We never take listings from recruitment agencies, reposts or other job boards.

We find companies through our own research and through public directories of AI and web3 companies. Before a board is added, we check that it really belongs to that company.

How we keep it accurate

• AI and web3 companies are re-checked every hour, others every six hours.
• A role closes once it has been missing from the company's board twice in a row, so a single hiccup doesn't remove it.
• Anything we haven't been able to re-check in 48 hours is hidden until we can.
• If a company's board suddenly goes empty, we pause it rather than close every role, and check what happened.
• The same role posted in several cities shows once, with every location.
• Posted dates are the company's own, never the day we found the job.
• Every job page shows when we last checked it, and what changed since it was posted.

What we list

At AI and web3 companies, every role: research and engineering, but also product, design, sales, marketing, legal, finance, people and operations. At other companies, only roles that are themselves about AI or web3, like a machine learning engineer at a bank. A role that spans both, such as an AI engineer at a crypto exchange, appears under both.

How listings are organised

• Each role gets one of 22 categories and a seniority. Titles are sorted by our own rules first; an AI model then reads the posting to place roles the rules can't, and to check each role belongs here. It only decides where a role is listed and never writes anything you read on a listing. Email addresses and phone numbers are removed before it reads a posting.
• Technologies shown on a role or company are the ones its postings name, matched against a fixed list. Nothing is inferred.
• Remote roles are tagged with where you can work from: anywhere, a region like Europe, or specific countries. Filtering by a location includes remote roles open there.
• Salaries show in the company's own currency. To filter by pay we convert ranges to a common currency using daily European Central Bank rates.
• Within each day, companies take turns at the top, so one company posting fifty roles can't bury everyone else.

Applying

Each job page shows the posting as the company published it, with a link to the original. You always apply on the company's own site: we don't collect applications or CVs, and we don't sit between you and the employer.

How we make money

Vultboard is free for job seekers, with no ads and no tracking cookies. Listing is free for companies too, and always will be. Companies can pay to feature a role, post roles that aren't on a job board we read, or go Pro for a branded page and analytics. For companies

If you hire for AI or web3 on one of the systems above, your roles are probably already here, with no work on your side. If they're not, tell us and we'll add your board. No job board at all? Add your company and send your roles by API or CSV, free, or post one directly. Claim your company to see how many people we send you, hide roles or feature one.

Our crawler

Our crawler identifies itself as VultboardBot. It only reads public job board feeds, polls each company at most once an hour and backs off when asked to. To change how your jobs appear, or to have them removed, contact us.
